John H. "Jack" Hoban, 80, of Red Dale Road, Orwigsburg, passed away Veterans Day at the Orwigsburg Center.

Born in Pottsville, April 5, 1933, he was a son of the late John and Frances Hoban.

John was a 1951 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School and received an associate degree from Penn State University.

He was last employed by Jones and Hunt, Deer Lake.

John was a veteran of the Air Force and served as an airman first class in the strategic air command on a B47 Bomber Crew for four years during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald and his wife, Beverly.

John is survived by a brother, James and his wife, Anna Marie, Pottsville; an aunt, Mary Hoban; nieces and nephews; and his companion, Rosalie Kershner.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at the convenience of the family. Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven, is entrusted with the services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John's name to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
