Leo J. Halkovich, 90, of Parkersburg, W.Va., formerly of Saint Clair, died at home Dec. 25, 2013.

He was a son of the late Jacob and Fotia Merena Halkovich.

Leo graduated from Saint Clair High School in 1940 and from Penn State University in 1944 with a degree in engineering.

He was an Army veteran, and retired from Walker Division of Butler Manufacturing Co., where he was vice president of sales.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Anna Mary Grace "Nancy" Halkovich, also formerly of Saint Clair, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, John; and sisters, Anna Halkovich, Theresa Gregor and Mary Krill.

Surviving are a daughter, Lee Church (Ray), Belpre, Ohio; son, Robert (Jan) Halkovich, Mettawa, Ill.; a step grandson J.B. (Betsy) Church; and two step great-grandsons, John and Sam Church, all of Cumming, Ga.

There will be a graveside service and inurnment at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Greek Catholic Cemetery, Saint Clair. Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be sent to www.brucethartfuneralhome.com.
