Victoria Elizabeth Halstrick, 67, of Lake Wynonah, passed away Tuesday at home.

Born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, June 18, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel and Elizabeth V. Lautsch Varverikos.

Victoria was a graduate of Temple University High School and also attended Temple University.

She worked as an administrative receptionist for the Neurosurgical Department of the University of Minnesota.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Besides being a devoted daughter, she was a dear sister and loving aunt to her three nieces and nephew. She will be remembered for her tremendous courage and grace in her fight with can cer.

Victoria is survived by a sister, Dr. Jacqueline Denise Moylan and her husband, Dr. David Moylan, Lake Wynonah; a nephew, Matthew Washburne and wife, Elizabeth, great-nephew, Harrison, and great-niece, Charlotte, all of Dallas, Texas; and three nieces, Elizabeth Anne Moylan, Chicago, Tara Patricia Moylan, Tucson, Ariz., and Lauren Victoria Moylan, Lake Wynonah.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, 26 Chestnut St., Cressona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, with Monsignor Edward Zemanik officiating. An additional viewing time will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. At the family's request, memorial donations in Victoria's name may be sent to Simon Kramer Cancer Institute, 15 Alliance St., New Philadelphia, PA 17959.
