Francis J. Guy, 90, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday evening at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem.

Born in Philadelphia, June 3, 1914, he was a son of the late Joseph Lacey and Mary Birmingham Guy.

Francis was a graduate of Germantown High School, Philadelphia, and a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia.

He was an Army veteran, having served during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bristol, the Moose Lodge, Bristol, and American Legion Post 677, Middleport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William; and a brother, Robert Guy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Catherine Crouch Guy, New Philadelphia; two sons, Francis W. Guy and his wife, Kathleen, Tamaqua, and Charles Guy and his wife, Gerri, Perkiomenville; two daughters, Patricia and her husband, John Stewart, Myrtle Beach, N.C., and Catherine and her husband, Michael Koller, Pittsburgh; a brother, William Guy, Philadelphia; a sister, Patricia Fleishman, Tioga County; 24 grandchildren; more than 30 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Church, New Philadelphia, with the Rev. Ronald J. Minner as celebrant. Entombment will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, is in charge of arrangements.
