Andy McDonald, 57, of Edmonds passed away peacefully on March 27, 2013. He was born in Olympia, Washington on April 8, 1955, the son of Gordon and Arlene McDonald. He grew up in the Seattle area where he graduated from Ingram High School and The University of Washington. He worked in the packaging industry where he enjoyed working with the public and developed lifelong friendships with his customers.
Andy is survived by his wife Mary; daughters Meagan and Marcail; brothers Gordon (Cheryl) and Bruce (Sharon); niece Alysson (Agustin); nephew Kirklin; and many friends and extend family.
Andy loved people, he knew no strangers, and everyone was a friend. He enjoyed helping others, as a member of Emerald City Rotary he assisted and chaired Computers for the World. He took great pleasure and gratification in helping others.
Andy was an avid golfer, he was a member of the Seattle Golf Club. He loved the game and played as often as he could.
Andy's biggest joy was his daughters, he spent countless hours helping with homework, gently providing advice and carefully listening to their every word. He was the best dad a daughter could ask for.
Andy will be missed, he requested a private family celebration of life.
