Barbara Anne BERLIN|
Barbara Anne Berlin, 86, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2013, following a long illness.
Barbara was born in Yakima to John and Genevieve Quinn on April 2, 1927. Throughout her childhood, the family lived in several different countries including Chile and Romania. Upon returning to Washington, Barbara graduated from the Annie Wright Seminary in Tacoma. She attended Stanford University and graduated in 1948 from the University of Washington, where the former Barbara Quinn was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and was selected to serve as the University's Homecoming Queen during her senior year.
After raising six children, Barbara enjoyed her work as a real estate agent in Pennsylvania.
Barbara loved to travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren and the many wonderful friends she had made over the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her older brother John and her husband of 54 years, Gordon E. Berlin.
Barbara is survived by her 6 children and their spouses, John, James (Chris), Richard (Billie Jo), Barbara (Randy), Anne, and Robert (Lisa), in addition to her brother Richard and his family. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
Family members and friends will gather in Tacoma for a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at a later date.
