Beloved husband and father, Clifford "Dan" Truman passed away on December 21, 2013.
Born May 24, 1921 in Dillon, Montana to Oswald Marvin and Clara (Eudaly) Truman. Dan lived his younger years in The Dalles, Oregon and Yakima, Washington where he was a 1940 graduate of Yakima Senior High School. He excelled in sports and was the State High Jump Champion that year. He attended Whitman College and the University of Washington. Enlisting in 1941 in the U.S. Navy, attending flight school, and then the U.S. Coast Guard.
After the war, Dan married his wife of 62 years, Louise "Mickey" Lagozzino. He had a very successful career as an automobile salesman at S.L. Savidge, Huling Brothers, and Budget, retiring after 44 years. Dan loved sports, and was an avid golfer. He and Mickey also traveled the world extensively in their retirement years, and enjoyed many rounds of golf.
Dan was preceded in death by his wife Mickey.
Dan is survived by his two sons Daniel (Suzi Fossos), grandchildren Terra M. and Danica M. Truman; and David (Elizabeth), grandchildren Patricia and Corin McDonald (Adrianne Moore) and three great grandchildren Xahil McDonald, Maggie Moore and Oscar McDonald-Moore.
A celebration of life will be held at Salty's on Alki, 1936 Harbor Avenue SW, Seattle, WA 98126 on Saturday January 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of donations, a prayer or good deed in Dan's memory would be appreciated by the family.
