Donald K Hedlin

Donald Kenneth Hedlin, born in Bovee So. Dakota in 1922; passed away peacefully at the age of 91, Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Renton. Donald is survived by his daughter, Judy (Joel) Bruggeman; son, Gary (Sandra) Hedlin; brother (Alan Blake); grandchildren, Debbie (Jeff) Fabris, Dean (Tami) Bruggeman, Julie and Jessica Hedlin; great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Daniel and Rebecca Fabris, McKayla Hedlin; and Kameron and Kandie Kujawa; as well as several nieces and nephews. Don was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Raleigh for the duration of the war. Don was preceded in death by his wife (Helen) of 65 years, mother, father, and brother (Harold). Don retired from Boeing in 1983 after 30 years of Service. He and his wife lived on Summit Lake nearby Olympia from 1964 until 1999. They spent their retirement years living at their home on Summit Lake and traveling with their fifth wheel trailer around the country, finally deciding that Arizona was where they most enjoyed being Snow Birds during the winter months.

Visitation will be held on Friday, 09/06 from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 AM through service time which will commence at 10:00 AM on Saturday at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA (206) 242-1787.
