Doug Raymond died peacefully in his home on April 22nd. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his optimism and free spirit.
Born in Seattle, he was the youngest of three children of Ken and Maybelle Raymond. Doug graduated from Evergreen State College after serving in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. He then became an entrepreneur and opened his own business in Seattle, which ultimately led to a 30-year career in the paint industry.
Doug loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing with his dog, Cody, and hitting the open road on his Harley.
He will be greatly missed by his mother, Maybelle Raymond; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Pat Raymond; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Nelson and Chuck Gorder; partner, Linda Baxter; son and daughter-in-law, Chad Raymond and Camille Clinton; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Tara Raymond; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and David Joneschild; and seven grandchildren, Claire, Tessa, Caitlin, Kate, T.J., Helen, and Cole.
A memorial will be held at Ray's Boathouse on Saturday, May 11th at 10:00 a.m.
