After a diagnosis five years ago of cerebellar ataxia, a rare brain disorder, Dwight David Nakatsu, 64, of Bellevue, WA died on February 21, 2014. He is survived by those who love him most - his wife, Peggy Nakatsu; three sons, Jeffrey (JJ), Brian of Honolulu, HI, and John; mother, Miyoko Nakatsu; siblings, Ken Nakatsu (Shelley Sutton), Colleen Nakatsu, Nancy Nakatsu, Mark Nakatsu (Beth), John Nakatsu (Sandy); brothers-in-law, David Johnson (Anna Copley), Douglas Johnson (Jo) and Paul Johnson (Jan), both of Fargo, ND, and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Nakatsu. Dwight was born in Seattle on January 26, 1950. He graduated from Rainier Beach High School in 1968 and the University of Washington in 1973 with a business degree and attained his CPA. Dwight worked at Boeing in various positions in BCS Finance and Business Management from 1974 until he retired in 2008.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 3030 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA.
The family asks that memorials be sent to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
