Einar Hendrickson passed away peacefully on November 15, 2012 in Seattle, WA. He has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. He was born June 6, 1923 on Puget Island, WA. He was a long time Seattle resident, devoted husband, father, grandfather, community leader, Urban planner, and small business owner.

Einar graduated from Cathlamet High School, served as a navigator in the Armed Forces during WW2, followed by earning his BA from WSU. He was the recipient of two Masters Degrees from the U. of Michigan, in Urban Planning and Conservation of Natural Resources. He was active in community development activities and the neighborhood Lutheran Church.

In addition to a consulting practice, he was employed as a City Planning Director in Vancouver, WA, Public Works Specialist at the University of Washington, Administrator for the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation, Chief at U.S.A.I.D. Earthquake Rehabilitation Planning in El Salvador, and advised students taking correspondence courses in his field. His career came second to his primary love of his family, immediate and extended.
