Jane Mae Lewis

Jane Lewis, loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, born September 1924, in Minneapolis, MN, died on August 16, 2013, in Bellevue, WA. After WWII, she wed the love of her life, Bill, and they were happily married 65 years. They lived in Toledo, OH, until they moved to Seattle in 1961. Jane graduated in 1976 from the School of Home Economics at University of Washington and worked many years as the Cantonese cooking teacher for The House Rice in the Unversity District and Moshier Field in Burien. She was very creative and loved fishing, cooking, pottery, painting, crafts and baking Christmas cookies.

Jane is survived by her children, Karen, Charles, Samiya & Richard; her grandchildren, Kristina, Victoria & Benjamin; her siblings, Dorothy, Betty, Edward, David, Doris & Julia; and extended family.

Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Edline-Yahn Chapel, 27221 156th Ave. S.E., Kent, WA 98042.
