Joe passed away at home on April 20, 2013 at the age of 84, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 10, 1928, the son of Adam and Mary Cristofaro, Joe lived his entire life in the Beacon Hill area of Seattle. He attended St. George Grade School and graduated in 1946 from O'Dea High School. He served in the National Guard then proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Joe married Angie Carlone and together they enjoyed 55 years of marriage until her passing in 2008. Joe retired after 30 years at Associated Grocers and was a member of Teamsters Local Union 117. Joe was a member of the Westside Italian Civic Club and an avid golfer at Maplewood and Foster. He is survived by his daughter Mary Kay, sister-in-law Rose Falsetto, brothers-in-law Mike and Nick Carlone, cousin Suzan Frasier and many nieces and nephews. Joe was a feisty Italian with a generous nature who was a friend to all. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church on Beacon Hill, 2807 15th Ave S., Seattle, 98144. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Viewing at Columbia Funeral Home today, Wednesday, April 24 from 2-7 p.m. and Thursday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Private entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
