Jun Tomita, 88, Seattle, WA died 5/1/2014 of natural causes.
He was born April 26, 1926 in Parker, south of Yakima, WA to Masakazu and Teiko Tomita. Jun graduated from the University of Washington in 1954, married Florence M. Hayashi and moved to St. Paul, MN. Jun had a 32 year career at 3M as a chemical engineer developing and patenting industrial adhesives and coatings. He enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, golf, and traveling. After retiring, Jun and Flo moved back to Seattle and for the past five years have resided at the Hearthstone Retirement Community near Green Lake.
Jun was predeceased by his parents and sister, Kiku. Jun is survived by his wife of 60 years, Flo, and children, Alyce (Thomas) Tomporowski, Perham, MN; Paul Tomita, Seattle; Susan Deeg, Zionsville, IN; and Julie Tomita, Seattle; grandchildren David Tomporowski, Nora, Katie, Carl, and Lily Deeg; sister Kay Hashimoto, brother Joe (Peggy) Tomita, and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 in the Hearthstone chapel, 6720 E. Green Lake Way N., Seattle.
