Kenneth Gordon Woods|
Kenneth G. Woods, born October 21, 1925, passed peacefully in his sleep on April 7, 2013. He is survived by his wife Mary and four children, sons Ken Woods Jr. of Schertz, TX, John Woods of Boxborough MA, and Charles Woods in Tacoma and daughter Sherry Graham in Auburn, WA.
Kenneth was born and raised in McKinney, TX, joining the Navy's civil engineer training program at the University of Texas, Austin in 1943, graduating with a degree in civil engineering in May of 1946 and was commissioned as an Ensign. By 1959 he had attained the rank of Lieutenant and had earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
Most of his civilian career was spent working for Boeing as a reliability engineer, though during the 1960's he managed to work for just about every aerospace company working on the space program.
