Louise "Lou" Wagstaff KINZEL

Lou Kinzel passed away peacefully at her Medina, WA home of 47 years on May 19, 2013 at the age of 78 from cancer. Lou was born on July 6, 1934 in Seattle, WA to Bernice and Melvin Wagstaff. Raised in the Montlake district of Seattle, Lou graduated from Garfield High School in 1952. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1956 where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. While at the university Lou met her future husband, Bill Kinzel. They were married in December, 1957 when Bill was in law school and celebrated their 55th anniversary this past December. After raising their two children Lou and Bill enjoyed time together on Hood Canal and in Palm Desert CA. Lou was a member of Overlake Country Club, Medina and Monterey Country Club, Palm Desert. Lou is survived by her husband, her son and daughter in law Douglas W. and Ritva Kinzel of Yakima WA, her daughter and grandson, Katie Ann Larchick and Kyler W. Larchick of Snohomish, WA, and her sister Marilyn Lloyd of Tacoma, WA.

There will be a Celebration of Lou's Life at Overlake Country Club, 8000 NE 16th Street, Medina, WA 98039 on Thursday May 30, 2013 from 3 to 5 PM. Remembrances may be made to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center or the Children's Orthopedic Hospital Seattle. Lou's final place of rest will be next to her parents at Acacia Memorial Park, Seattle, WA.
