Lynn PERUCCA Obituary
Lynn PERUCCA

Lynn Perucca, age 50, of Seattle, WA, passed away at home peacefully with her family by her side on June 7, 2013.

She was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1963. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School and received a BA in Communications from the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, Iowa, where she met her loving and devoted husband, Tony Perucca, with whom she was married for almost 23 years.

After university Lynn and Tony moved to Chicago. Lynn worked in the apparel industry and studied to be a paralegal. Lynn and Tony married in 1990 and moved to Los Angeles, CA, in 1991. She continued her career in the apparel industry in Los Angeles where she worked for several clothing and shoe manufacturers.

In 1993 the couple moved to Seattle, WA, and began a family; Lynn's vocation transitioned from the work-place to the home where she was a loving and nurturing mother to her children, Leo Perucca (17) and Isabella Perucca (15).

Lynn was known for her bright smile, happy disposition, and gentle strength. She actively volunteered in her community and schools attended by her children. In addition to being an involved mother, Lynn loved yoga, beading, watching The Ellen Show, traveling, reading, fashion and shopping. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and close friends.

She is survived by her husband and children, parents (Trudy and Ron Koppen), sisters (Teri Tabb, Lisa Steuby, and Heather Perkins), grandmother (Ethel Reeck), aunts and uncles (Ethelynn Tuel, Kamma Jorgensen, Larry Reeck, Marty Reeck), numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who were special to her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 13th, at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 121 North 80th Street, Seattle.

For those wishing to honor her memory, a contribution can be made to the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk at http://community.swedish.org/lynnsteam.
