Marian (Goffee) Fisher passed away peacefully on December 10, 2013 at 97 years old. She was born in Salem, MA and she and her family moved to Seattle when she was 7 years old. Marian had a long and productive life. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, attended the University of Washington, was an active member in Hadassah and life-time member in City of Hope. She was instrumental in organizing the Second Hand Rose thrift store and was a volunteer at the store for many, many years. Marian raised her family in Madison Park and then moved to Capitol Hill, eventually moving to The Summit on First Hill and then to Kline Galland. She is the last of "The Goffee Girls" having outlived her sisters Lillian Thal, Sally Rose and Millie Sugarman. Marian was predeceased by her husband, Irving Fisher, and is survived by her children, Bruce Fisher (Marlene Litvak), and Leslie Fisher Burke, her grandchildren, Danielle and Allison Fisher and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Sunday (12/15) @ 2:00 pm at Bikur Cholem Cemetery. Remembrances to Huckleberry Youth Programs: 3310 Geary Blvd., SF, CA 94118, City of Hope or Kline Galland.
