Martha Helene Fitch
Martha Helene Fitch, daughter of John R. and Anna Frerichs, was born on March 29, 1915 in Coleridge, Nebraska. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on March 13, 2013 at Covenant Shores, Mercer Island, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband Delmer Don Fitch and daughter Dawn Haase. She is survived by daughters Cheryl Anderson of Mercer Island, Washington and Connie Crane of Fountain Valley, California, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She graduated from Wayne State Teachers College in Nebraska, and University of Washington and taught school in Highland Park and Gatewood Elementary Schools in Seattle, Washington for over 30 years. She and her husband Delmer, known as D.D. to everyone, enjoyed square dancing, line dancing and clogging well into their retirement years. She has lived at Covenant Shores for eighteen years. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Covenant Shores Benevolent Fund, at 9150 Fortuna Drive, Mercer Island, WA 98040. A memorial service is scheduled at Covenant Shores, Fellowship Hall on March 29th, 2013 at 1:00pm.
