Mitzi Walsh passed away March 9, 2013 in Seattle at the age of 92 from pneumonia. She was born in Prosser, WA to Lon and Madge Boyle. She grew up in Wapato and graduated from Yakima High School and the University of Washington where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. During World War II she served in the Red Cross in New Guinea and the Philippines. She married William J. Walsh Jr. in 1945 in Dallas, TX. Mitzi worked in the advertising field in Seattle many years. Subsequently Bill and she raised their family in Bellevue, WA. Bill and Mitzi were married 48 years until he passed away in 1994. Mitzi is survived by her daughters Marilynn Rothen, and her husband, Martin, of Bellevue; Kathleen Caldwell and granddaughters Stephanie and Natalie Caldwell of Seattle. A private family celebration of Mitzi's life will be held at a later time.
