Myron Lee Cornelius Obituary
Myron Lee Cornelius

Myron Cornelius passed away March 3, 2014 at the age of 70, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Born to Lester and Eleanor (Peterson) Cornelius, in St Cloud Mi., November 26, 1943, Myron grew up in Seattle. He graduated from the U.W with a degree in philosophy, then attended U.W. Law School, going to work for the City of Seattle Law Dept in 1969. He worked as an Assistant City Attorney for thirty years. When he retired he was not able to give up his lifelong love for the law and returned to work as a part time bailiff for Municipal court for another ten years. In his semi-retirement, he loved hiking the Olympic mountains and beaches, traveling to the National parks, and exploring photography. He volunteered for the Museum and Arts Center in Sequim, tutored for the Adult Basic Education program, was a member of the Olympic Camera Club, and SARC. He will be remembered for his integrity, intelligence, quick wit, beautiful smile and his ability to see the goodness in others. He is survived by his loving wife of four years Barbara J. Allen of Sequim, and his son Stephen Cornelius, of Seattle; also his stepdaughter Larisa Allen and husband David Zubkoff of Boston; stepson Christopher Thomas and wife Alessandra of Oxford, Fl. and their children Sophia, Marc, and Victor, who will miss their grandpa.

Memorial service will be held March 21, 2014, at 5 PM at the Renaissance Hotel, 515 Madison, Seattle. Remembrances in may be made to The Museum and Arts Center in Sequim or Olympic Medical Cancer Center in Sequim.
