Norris E. Adams|
Norris (Norey) Adams, 92, passed away April 2 in Bellevue. He attended Bellingham schools and WWCE (now WWU).
He was well known in Whatcom County for his play-by-play broadcasts of area high school and semi-pro sports teams for local radio stations.
He joined the University of
Washington School of Communications as Business Manager of the associated student publications The Daily and The Tyee. He also was on faculty as advertising lecturer.
Norris was a member of Masonic Lodge #44, and the Bellingham Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed all sports especially golf --
he made a hole-in-one - and boating in the San Juans with family and friends. World travel and cruises were highlights of his retirement years.
Norris is survived by Marilyn Turner Adams, his wife of 65 years, Craig Adams and his wife Sandy and children Logan and Kiley of Puyallup; Kyle Adams of Dallas TX; Marilyn (Lyn) Adams and husband Greg Roe and daughter Cannon of Clyde Hill.
Moles Funeral Home, Bellingham. Services will be private.
