Patricia Marie BARCLAY|
Passed in peace on November 19, 2013 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Born on July 10, 1926 to Cyril John Murray and Eleanor Susanne (Halter) Murray. She was a true Seattleite raised on Phinney Ridge and often shared the memory of being roared to sleep by the lions in Woodland Park Zoo. She studied at John B. Allen Elementary, graduated from Lincoln High School, and attended the University of Washington. She summered on Angle Lake, becoming fast friends with Donald Barclay, who later became her beloved husband.
They built a life and family together raising their five children in Des Moines, WA. Pat was an active and hands on mother dedicating her life to family and community, her door was open to all. She lived her life with grace, sweetness, comedy, care, fortitude, compassion, love, and joy.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Barclay. She leaves behind her children Don, Scott (Annie), Susan Wilson (Robert), Jeff (Julie), and Mike; her brother Jack Murray; her nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 27th
at 11:00 AM at
St. James Cathedral
