Paul Tage Juul

Born 7-20-1920 in Odense, Denmark. Died 9-10-2013 in Bellevue, Washington after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was married to Amy Juul for 65 years. He is survived by his two daughters, Peggy and Sandra, 5 grandchildren, David, Katherine, Laura, Kelly and Brian, and 1 great granddaughter, Sienna. Paul spent his early years in Denmark. During World War II he was active in the underground, helping Jews escape Nazi-occupied Denmark. He studied mechanical engineering in Denmark, and after the war came to the United States for graduate studies, completing a Masters degree in industrial engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley he met the love of his life, Aminta (Amy) Cardenas. They were married in 1947 and were together 65 years until her death in 2012. They were global citizens, living in the United States, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Canada, finally settling in Bellevue in 1975. They loved to travel, and did so for fun and for business. As Vice President of Booz Allen & Hamilton, Paul worked with companies and universities around the world. He was a brilliant and imaginative man who specialized in corporate problem-solving and time management issues. Paul was a dedicated husband and father, and active participant of the Rotary Club of Bellevue. He will be missed.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 1:30 on Sunday, 10/6/13 at the home of Sandra Juul Ledbetter. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the at www.alz.org.
