Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Phil passed away June 17th at the age of 90. Born in Seattle on July 12, 1922. Phil attended John Hay Elementary, graduate of Queen Ann High school and the U of W (Engineering). Member of the greatest generation - joined the Navy and attended Annapolis Naval Academy. Phil was a Lt. aboard the destroyer USS Cummings. Taking part in the invasion of Iwo Jima as well as other Asiatic-Pacific theater combat operations. Married to Sandra Scott in 1955, they celebrated their 58th anniversary this past February. Phil worked for Boeing for 37 years. Phil loved to tinker in his shop, fish, fly model airplanes and spend time with his family. Phil's family was his greatest treasure. Phil is survived by his wife Sandra, daughters Laura (Mark) Pollack, Sallie (Marc) Smith and son John Lynch. He has four grandchildren Justin, Sara, Jennifer and Meghan and three great grandchildren, Caden, Riker and Carina. Numerous relatives in Texas and Montana. A military service was held at Tahoma National Cemetery. A memorial donation to the Museum of Flight, or the
