Raymond Shively

Raymond Shively, 73, of Seattle died June 29th at Highline Hospital with his family at his side. He was born July 29, 1939 to Mamie and Lloyd Shively in Shelton, Nebraska. Raymond served his country in the U.S. Army. He enlisted into the Alaska National Guard Dec. 1, 1956 and went on active Duty Jan. 11, 1963. He re-enlisted March 6, 1964 for a period of six years. Raymond served in Korea from 1963-1964 and Vietnam from 1966-1967. He received the Army Commendation Medal. After his service in the military, Raymond was certified with the Seattle Veterinary Medical Assc in 1971, then later was certified in Electrical and Retired as production manager after 39 years from Tierney Electrical Manufacturing Co. Raymond also worked security at the Seahawks Stadium from 2004-2009. Raymond enjoyed wildlife, gardening, hunting and fishing, and working on and fixing things. He always had really good stories to tell, and was always up for a good joke. Raymond is survived by his wife Sandra Shively of Seattle; daughter and son-in-law Angel and Brandon Honold; step-children Ginger and Jeffery Morgan; Grandchildren Catrina Skelly, Latasha Gallagher, Crystal-Ann Morgan, Aiden Morgan, Abbigail Honold; Great Grandchildren Cohen and Miles Skelly; Siblings: Helen Bobst, Norma Givens and Norm Shively; Numerous nieces and nephews and a dog named Moose. Raymond also leaves behind very close family friends who have helped so much through the years, Marta Gonzales and family, we send a very special thanks to you and everything you have done through the years. Private services to be held at Camano Lutheran Church, July 14th at 2:00PM. Celebration of Life reception following at VFW Legion hall in Stanwood at 4:00 open to all.
