Stanley Perry Moe was born May 16, 1921, in Grays Harbor County to Norwegian immigrants, Sigrid and Peter Moe.
Upon graduating from Montesano High School, Stanley entered the Coast Guard to serve during WWII. On leave from the service, Stanley became engaged and married to Ruby Steffensrud, a Montanan whom he met at the Hollywood Church in Seattle.
At the conclusion of WWII, the newlyweds settled in North Seattle to raise their family. Stanley became a contractor and built homes and apartments for hundreds of people over the course of his construction career. During a difficult time for home construction, he had a charter boat built and became a salmon fishing captain on his new boat named Buttercup. He also spent decades on the Snoqualmie Summit Ski Patrol.
His wife, Ruby, passed away in 1997, and Stanley later married Martha Musselman in 1999. Stanley was a man with a strong faith in God and fervently shared his love of Christ to everyone in whom he befriended
Stanley is survived by his wife Martha Musselman Moe and his children David (Sheila) of Seattle, Jake (Susan) of Seattle, Wendy (Bob) of Santa Barbara, Carol Musselman-Stevens (Roger) of Seattle and Bob Musselman (Angelica) of Seattle. In addition, Stanley is survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Services will be at Calvary Christian Assembly December 6th at 1:30PM.
