Susan Fuller Soltman Obituary
Susan Fuller Soltman

August 14, 1933 ~ June 27, 2013

Susan was born August 14, 1933 to Cecil Fuller and Frankie Holme in Seattle, WA. She was raised in Magnolia, and attended Magnolia Elementary school and Queen Anne High school. She graduated from the University of Oregon and obtaining her Master's degree from the University of Washington.

Susan spent her career working in schools as a speech pathologist and as a team member at the University of Washington Experimental Education unit, designing programs for children with disabilities. She was honored to serve as president of the Washington Speech and Hearing Association.

She was married to Phil Hanson from 1955 - 1969 with whom she had three children. Susan then married George Soltman in 1970. Beyond their careers, Susan and George pursued charitable interests, and have traveled widely. Poetry brought much meaning to their lives.

She is survived by George and their children, Michael Soltman, Carole Cadoppi, Greg Hanson, Kim Hanson, Anne Braun, Stephanie Hanson, and grandchildren John, Catharine, Adrian, Simone', Dario, Julia, Carter, Tommy, Jordan, Ursula, Max, Stuart, and Roselle. Our Susan will always be remembered for her beauty as a caring mother and grandmother, as a loving wife, and as a joyous friend, deeply and universally loved and admired.

A celebration of Susan's life is being planned for a future date. The family suggests donations in her memory may be sent to the Pike Market Senior Center and Food Bank. http://www.pikemarketseniorcenter.org/
