Wayne T. Browne, 79, passed away on March 10th, 2014 at his home in Redmond.
Wayne was born and raised in Seattle, graduated from Roosevelt High School, and earned a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington in 1957, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He spent the next two years as an Army intelligence officer at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas and married Barbara there on July 25th, 1959. Shortly thereafter, he began his 39 year career with Safeco Insurance Company as a Claims Adjuster; retiring from Safeco in 1999 as Senior Vice President of Claims. Wayne was a member of The CPCU Society and prior to retiring, served as a Board member of several insurance related organizations.
Survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara, son Christopher Browne (Stephanie Mulvey), daughter Diana Browne Duenkel; grandchildren Kevin Browne (Amanda), Ryan Browne, Andrew Duenkel and William Duenkel and great grandsons, Harrison and Henry.
At his request no services will be held.
