William H. Tryon Obituary
William H. Tryon

William Howard Tryon, 85 passed away peacefully on April 7, 2014.

Born August 29, 1928 in Bend, OR. The son of Howard & Hazel Tryon, Bill spent most of his younger years living in Olympia WA., with sisters Betty & Beverly. From an early age Bill knew he wanted to travel and see the World. He joined the Merchant Marines at age 17 and served in WWII and later served with the Second Armored Division of the US Army in the Korean War stationed in Germany.

Upon returning home he married Joanne Jurgich and they had three children. Bill & Joanne shared 35 years of marriage. Bill would say of their time," they just really enjoyed being with each other." Whether sailing on their boat, Artistry in Rhythm or dancing at the Four Seasons, they lived life to the fullest. The most important part of their lives together were their family and dear friends. Their home was always a welcoming haven for all who entered.

Bill was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He had a real sense of style and flare. He was an accomplished trumpet player and had cultivated a passion for great music. He was the first to lend a helping hand to a family member or friend. He was loved by all who ever knew him. He will be truly missed and never forgotten.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife Joanne. He is survived by his children John (Diane), Robert, Karen (Scott), his grandchildren Julia and Brooke. His sister Beverly and Sister-in-law Dorothy. Bill was also blessed with two stepchildren, Chris (Karen) and Paige (Erik) and his grandchildren Karina, Blake, Alexandria and Samantha. Please sign Bill's online Guestbook at www.Legacy.com.
