William (Bill) L. Baker

William (Bill) L. Baker, 71, a resident of East Wenatchee and long time resident of Bellevue, died surrounded by his family on March 2, 2013 in Wenatchee. He was born February 20, 1942 to Sherman and Ramona Baker in Helena, Montana. He moved to Malaga in 1952 and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1960. He attended the University of Washington. Bill married Beryl (Brownlow) Baker on October 28, 1965 and the couple made their home in Bellevue, Washington. The couple moved back to East Wenatchee 6 years ago in 2007.

Bill worked for Gerry's Andal's Lincoln Mercury in Seattle as the General Manager before medically retiring in 1980 due to Multiple Sclerosis. Together, Bill and Beryl survived the daily challenges of MS for over 30 years. His favorite motto was "Keep on Keepin' on." With his determination, friendly smile, and always ready with a good joke, Bill was able to be a role model for many and an inspiration to all.

The loving husband and father is survived by his wife, Beryl Baker (Brownlow); mother, Ramona Baker of East Wenatchee, WA; brother, Gene Baker and sister-in-law Pam Baker of East Wenatchee, WA; son, Sean Baker and daughter-in-law Susan Baker of Bellevue, WA; daughter Misty Fewel and son-in-law Matt Fewel of Pasco, WA and daughter Tina Gorman and son-in-law Jim Gorman of Honolulu, HI. As well as his beloved grandchildren; Rachel, Sarah and Ryan Baker; Hannah, Benjamin and Carter Fewel, Julia and Evelyn Gorman.

No services will be held per his request. A private family celebration of his life will be held at a later time. Friends who wish, may make donations in his name to the Tom Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund, Wenatchee Valley College, 1300 Fifth Street, Wenatchee, WA 98801.
