Margery Ames Pflughaupt, the daughter of Benjamin C. Ames and Linton King Ames of Ft. Smith, AR died in her home in Danville, KY of Alzheimer?s disease on Sunday April 7, 2013. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She was an organizing member of the Shelby County Parks Department and the inspiration and provider of the Senior High scholarship program at Shelby County High School. She attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL where she met her husband Eugene. They were married in 1950 and lived together in love for sixty two years. In addition to Gene, she is survived by her daughters Deborah (Robert) Armbruster of Clinton, KY, Julie (Allen) Boyd of Ft. Wayne, IN and Sarah (Ray) McKenney of Cynthiana, KY; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and her sister, Dr. Janet Hale of Dallas, TX. Funeral services were held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 305 W. Main St., Danville KY at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery followed at 12:30 PM.
