Claude R. Piper, 64, of Sheboygan passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St. Luke Medical Center following a brief illness.

Claude was born on November 24, 1947 in Adams, Wisconsin a son of the late Elmer and Edmonde (Fievet) Piper. He graduated from Sheboygan North High School with the Class of 1965. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the Army in the 56th Transportation Company. On June 21, 1969 he was united in marriage to Jarlath "Jar" Van De Kreeke. Claude was employed for over 36 years with Johnsonville Sausage Co.

He greatly enjoyed his Harley motorcycle along with fishing and camping. At home he enjoyed working in his flower gardens. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Claude is survived by his wife, Jarlath "Jar"; a daughter, Lori (Jeff) Piper-Harding of Green Bay; a son, Steve Piper at home; his sister, Evelyne (Charles) Endries of St. Nazianz; a brother, Paul (Diana) Piper of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Darlene (Steve) Meyer of Sheboygan; a brother-in-law, Charles (Nancy) Van De Kreeke of Sheboygan and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ronald Van De Kreeke and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward and Dolores Van De Kreeke.

A funeral service for Claude will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, July 6 at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home (Novak-Ramm-Ziegler) with Rev. James Connell officiating. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park with military rites accorded by VFW Post 9156. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home, 1535 S. 12 St. on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.
