Glenn R. Kuether, age 59, of Plymouth, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away on Jan. 16, 2013 at his home with his loving wife by his side following a hard fought battle with liver cancer.
Glenn was born on April 3, 1953 to Robert and Marilyn (Gerlach) Kuether in Sheboygan, WI. On Oct. 6, 2007 he married the love of his life, Beverly Buss.
Glenn graduated in 1971 from Sheboygan South High School. He earned his journeymen's license while working for his Dads construction business. Glenn served 6 years in the United States Air Force stationed in Germany working on jet engines. After returning home he worked 32 years for the Sheboygan Post Office, retiring in 2009. He owned and operated Glenn's mud jacking for the past 22 years. Glenn also did auto body repair and painting, most recently restoring a 1979 Fiat Spider convertible. He was a master scuba diver and played the blues harmonica. Glenn was an accomplished outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He did taxidermy and had a room full of trophy mounts most of which he did himself. Glenn was an avid do it yourselfer and took pride in keeping his ponds, property, and home looking nice and in good repair. He also very much enjoyed riding his Harley with Beverly.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife Beverly, son and daughter-in-law Travis and Becca Kuether and their children Devon, Derrick and Isabel, son Ryan Kuether and his son Drake, daughter and son-in-law Krista and Rob Jones and their son Mannix, step daughter and son-in-law Linsay and Justin Watkins and their children Micah, Joshua and Luke, stepson Kyle Buss, his father Robert Kuether, brother and sister-in-law Mark and Bobbie Kuether, sister Kim Kuether, special second "Dad" Wilber "Jiggs" Janke (who taught him his lifelong passion of hunting and fishing), brother and sister-in-laws, Ed Buss, Marge and Jerry Cerven, Gary and Martha Buss, Jerry and Marge Buss, Joan and Woody Carver, Dennis Buss, friend Kim Lagergren, Betty and Bruce Schroeder, David Buss, as well as other family members and many friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn, little sister Kelly, his grandparents, his parent-in-laws Elmer and Othelia "Tilly" Buss, brother and sister-in-laws Leroy and Pat Buss, Carol Buss and Evelyn Wolf.
Memorial services for Glenn will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. James Hoppert, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ, will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. on Saturday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Glenn's name. The VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 will conduct military rites at the funeral home following the services.
