Tolman, James "Jamie" Foster

James "Jamie" Foster Tolman, age 34, died early Wednesday morning, January 22 at Aurora Memorial Medical Center in Sheboygan.

Jamie enjoyed life with his friends at Hearthstone and RCS and being a member of St. John the Baptist Congregation and St. John Lutheran Sunday School. He participated in a number of RCS theatrical productions. Jamie loved Thursday night cards at Bummy's House, camping with family and friends, concerts at Lakeland College and seeing all those he knew at Luigi's, Highland House, Antoinette's and Town and Country. Jamie was a 2001 graduate of Plymouth High School and attended Lightfoot School, where he became a fine long-distance swimmer, winning medals at regional and state Special Olympic Games in both swimming and soft ball throw. A proud moment was when he was selected to carry the torch at the opening of a Special Olympics swim meet in Fond du Lac.

His death is mourned by his mother Linda Foster Tolman, sister Jennifer Tolman, nephews Tate Tolman, Kai and Reed Gahagan, niece Donna Tolman and loving friend Mark Hudson. Also grieving are aunts Elizabeth Tolman Lowe of Concord Mass., Frances Foster D'Ooge of Washington D.C., Ruth Foster of Arlington, VA, Jane and William Iacono of Maple Grove, MN, and grandfather Charles Foster and wife Evelyn of Bellevue, WA. Jamie was preceded in death by his father Charles "Spike" Tolman, paternal grandparents Julian and Elizabeth Fenner Tolman and maternal grandmother Helen Sharenberger Foster.

Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 28) at 4:30 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, pastor of the church will officiate. Friends may call at CHURCH on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jamie's name for Special Olympics of Sheboygan County.
