Schwoerer, Joan (Joanne Ranniker)

Joan Schwoerer, age 74, of Estero, FL formerly of Sheboygan went to be home with the Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Joan was born February 23, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI, to the late John and Lillian (Klanchar) Ranniker. Joan graduated from Sheboygan North High School, class of 1957. On August 31, 1957, Joan married her sweetheart, Jerry Schwoerer at Holy Name Catholic Church. After the arrival of three children, Joan was an active participant in her husband's business, Schwoerer Auto Sales, Inc. Throughout the years she worked at Prange-Way, Piggly Wiggly and later retired from Target. Joan was involved with the Jr. Women's Club and also with her husband Jerry in the Elk's Club; working for the betterment of the community. Joan had a flair for interior decorating and entertaining. She took great delight in playing cards, golfing, bowling at the Elk's Club, and in her Green Bay Packers.

She is survived by her children Scott (Nancy) Schwoerer of Tampa, FL, Todd (Amy) Schwoerer of Estero, FL and Susan Erdmann of Sheboygan; a brother Jack (Susie) Ranniker of Sheboygan; sister-in-law Joette (Paul) Kramer of Sun Prairie; her adored grandchildren Jenny (Kalen) Lind, Joe Schwoerer (fiancé Rebecca DeCaro) all of Estero, FL, Rachel Erdmann, Marla Erdmann (fiancé James Hitsman) both of Sheboygan; her great-grandchildren Madison Tayler Hitsman and Ashton Lind; nephews Troy (Vesela) Ranniker of Long Beach, CA, niece Stacey (Eric) Siudzinski of Green Bay, nephews Dan (Robin and Ava) Kramer of Madison, James Kramer of Madison and dear friends Marge and Dave Casper, Judy and John Manthey, Bonnie and Don Fredricks along with many others.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, her parents, in-laws Joseph and Marjorie (Edler) Schwoerer, daughter-in-law Carmen (Diorio) Schwoerer.

Family and friends may call at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1444 South 11th Street, Sheboygan on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 9-11 A.M. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Saturday, August, 31, 2013 at the church with the Rev. Paul Fliss, officiating. Burial to follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
