Martin, Mr. John M.

LAKELAND, FL- Mr. John M. Martin, 87, longtime resident of Sheboygan, passed away Feb.19, 2014.

Mr. Martin was born in the small town of Crocker, MO, on Apr. 21, 1926. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, where he received a Purple Heart. Mr. Martin was a former member of the Sheboygan County Sheriff Department, and was a lifetime member of UFW Post 9156. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling and watching football. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Martin; and his second wife, Lorraine Harmon Martin. He is survived by his children, Mary Jo (Jerry) Wagner of Lakeland, FL; Linda (Jose) Ayala of Murrieta, CA; and John M. (Lora) Martin of Strafford, MO; grandchildren, Kim Marie Wagner of Lakeland, FL; Richard (Maria) Wagner of Waltham, MA; and Nicole Martin of Sheboygan, WI.
