Forss, Judith

Judith A. Forss (a.k.a. "Sweet Jude" Forss) was asked to join our Lord on Monday, June 3rd and without hesitation, a sparkle in her eye and smile of sunshine, she left us behind. Jude was a smart cookie, becoming a graduate of North High School in 1983 and then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ). After graduation she worked at the American Club- Kohler and volunteered at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center (JMKAC) for nearly 12 years. It was at the JMKAC, where she found the greatest joy in dedicating her tireless energy, love, creativity, brilliance and laughter to many young open eyed and minded children, who affectionately referred to her as "Miss Judy". Her work at the preschool, Artery and annual art festival awarded her "The Volunteer of the Year" for her constant giving, without ever asking for anything in return. The Sheboygan Press also featured Judy as, "A Neighbor Worth Knowing". For those who had the opportunity to know Jude, talk about her steadfast friendship, kindness, humor, love, dedication, generosity, story telling and spirit that soared. Judy was a member of the First Congregational Church of Sheboygan, Lakeshore Garden Club and Maywood Environmental Park. She hit the earth running on September 18, 1964 from Quincy Massachusetts, formerly lived in Rockland, Massachusetts and Waukesha Wisconsin. The daughter of amazing parents Henry and Claudette and the greatest sister of Jennifer, Brian, Steven and Mark. Judy loved her dog, Quincy, her gardens, flowers, movies, Facebook , a good cup of coffee and "her kids". Even though Judy was challenged with muscular dystrophy through out her life she rose above to become that "Person Worth Knowing". She is also survived by, sister-in- laws Janice, Paula and Deirdre; nieces Abby, Autumn and Kim Havelich; nephews Brian Henry Forss and Jason Baumann. Other family members include, Grandma Schuh, Todd Havelich, Kim Baumann and Nick, Anthony and Ali Jetzer; including special friends, Dr. Roland and Mary Joan Brilla and family (Madison, WI), Lynn Toth and family; Carrie Gahan and family (Cleveland, WI); Martha Johnson (Phoenix, AZ) and H.D. Knight, as well as all the special caregivers from Homeinstead. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for "Sweet Jude". Please send your contributions on behalf of Judy Forss, POB 3554, Oshkosh, WI 54903. She now dances above like nobody's watching. Funeral Services for Judith will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 310 Bluff Avenue, Sheboygan. Friends will be welcomed at the church for visitation from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
