Landis B. Hoerig of Camp Verde, AZ passed away at his home on June 26, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
Born April 28, 1942 in Sheboygan, Landis was a son of Roman and LaVerne Wilsing Hoerig. He graduated from Central High School in 1960 and joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his military service, Landis graduated from MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering). Landis married Mary Kay Bomm in 1965 and they had two daughter's Kerri and Kelli. In 1992, he married Rosie Schept.
His employment included General Electric in CT, American Store, Fairwater, WI, McClean Foods, AZ and Street of New York, Pizza. Landis had owned and operated Lancelot's Bar in Waupun, WI. He was a member of the VFW and the Lion's Club. Landis enjoyed camping, bowling, billiards and shopping.
Landis is survived by his wife Rosie; daughters Kerri (Brent) Goyette, Desert Hills, AZ and Kelli (Jeff) Karaul, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Megan, Hailey and Samantha Goyette and Brandon and Kayla Karaul; a sister Cheryl (special friend Rudy Mauris) Aschenbach; niece Kim (Jason) Michner and nephew Todd Aschenbach. He was preceded in death by his father Roman Hoerig, Uncle & Aunt Gerald and Glendoris Jaeger. His mother, LaVerne Hoerig passed away on July 8, 2013.
Private family services will be held for Landis.
