Curtiss, Romaine F. "Romy"
Romaine F. "Romy" Curtiss, age 79, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday Evening (March 6) at his home.
He was born on May 16, 1933, in Plymouth, WI, a son of the late Simon and Emma Mahnke Curtiss.
He served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1958.
On April 19, 1958 he married Elaine Lilge at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Romaine worked at Kohler Company for 25 years retiring in 1998.
He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and belonged to the Plymouth Fair Association and Plymouth Snow Rangers.
Romaine enjoyed playing cards and was an avid sports fan watching all the Wisconsin teams and enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
Survivors include two sons: Chad (Cheri) Curtiss of Sheboygan Falls and Craig (Sherry) Curtiss of Plymouth; six grandchildren: Justin (Stacey) Curtiss, Stephanie (Eric) Richter, Brock (Jackie) Curtiss, Brittni Curtiss (her domestic partner: Sydney), Dexter Curtiss and Tanya (Matt) Hazaert; eight great grandchildren: Blake, Ethan, Jayda, Bailey, Kendra, Ava, Uriah and Emmit; five sisters: Helen Toerpe, Mary Ann Luedke, Eileen (Ron) Bloemers, Kathleen (Ken) Schaap and Maureen (Bernard) Rudebeck and one sister-in-law: Ruth Lilge.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law: Bernice (Robert) Reinecke and three Brother-in-laws: Edward Toerpe, Fred Luedke and John Lilge.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon (March 10) at 4:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Thomas Burton, associate of St. John Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.
Relatives and friends can call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 1:00 P.M. on Sunday until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Romaine's name.
The Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 will conduct military rites at the Suchon Funeral Home following the service.
