Mr. Andrew James "George" Coleman

SHREVEPORT, LA. Celebration of life services for Mr. Andrew James "George" Coleman, will be 11 a.m., Friday at Mt. Bethel #1 MBC, Keithville, La. Dr. Toussaint Battley, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Northwest La. Veteran Cemetery at 1 p.m.. Open visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Heavenly Gates.

Andrew was born on October 30, 1935. He was a resident of Shreveport, La. a member of Mt. Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church, a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, a retired Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy, a retired General Motors employee and an air conditioning and refrigeration technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by his wife; Dorothy, daughter; Nina, son; Michael (Pamela), granddaughter; Noelle, sister; Rubenstein Belcher, 2 sister-in-laws, 1 brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to all staff of Christus Shumpert Oncology Department, 3rd floor Pulmonary Department, and CCU 2nd floor staff. Special thanks to Dr. Roscoe Chan, Dr. Christopher Snead, Dr. David S. Green, and Dr. Albert N. Krause for their care and compassion in our time of need.
