Upon graduation, Don entered into the United States Air Force as a 2nd lieutenant and was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, LA. While stationed at Barksdale, Don met the love of his life Rochelle Monsour. Earlier this year they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Don continued his career in the United States Air Force Reserve as a Colonel. Don went on to build a successful insurance practice.
