Earl Lunsford

BENTON, LA - Services for Earl Lunsford, 80, will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Beadle, pastor of First Baptist Church of Benton, where Mr. Lunsford was a member, assisted by Bill Walsworth, Chaplain of the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Department. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery with U.S. Marine Corps Honors. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.

Mr. Lunsford was born September 26, 1932 and died May 6, 2013. He was a member of Military Order of the Purple Heart, Bossier Parish Sheriff's Posse, American Legion, VFW, Disabled American Veterans, Marine Corps League, the Masons, York Rite and the El Karubah Shrine.

His parents and his first wife and the mother of his children, Marjoria Lunsford preceded him in death.

Earl is survived by his wife, Ethelyn Lunsford of Benton, LA; son, Bill Lunsford of Houston, TX; daughters, Carol Lupton of Bossier City, LA, Lynn Lee and husband Kenneth D. of Benton, LA, Kay Zamberlan of Springfield, VA; stepdaughters, Joanna Sasher of Indiana and Kathleen Cousins of Oregon; sisters, Ann Wilkins of Benton, LA, Barbara Hays of Bossier City; brother, K.O. Lunsford of Lufkin, TX; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Honoring Earl as pallbearers will be his grandsons.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home Wing 4, Grace Home and their staffs for the care and compassion given to our loved one.
