SHREVEPORT, LA - A memorial service celebrating the life of Lawrence S. "Larry" Seaman will be at 10 AM Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at St. Michael The Archangel Chapel at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans, 939 Jordan Street, Shreveport, LA 71101. Officiating will be Father Karl Daigle.
Larry was born August 12, 1932 in Buffalo, NY and passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the American Legion Lowe-McFarlane Post 14.
Survivors are sons, Dennis, William "Bill", and Christopher Seaman all of Shreveport, LA; two grandchildren, Brittany Seaman of Buffalo, NY and Samuel Seaman of Shreveport, LA; Sister Edna Seaman Kennedy of Amherst, NY.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Maureen Bradley Seaman, and 2nd wife, Annie Baer Seaman; daughter, Alice Seaman; parents, William and Bertha Geiger Seaman, brothers Irvin, Leo, John, Raymond, Norman, and William.
Larry was a veteran of the Korean Conflict in which he served proudly in the United States Air Force. Larry retired from the Buffalo, NY Police Department and General Motors in Shreveport, LA. Larry was known by many to be able to "fix anything". He was an avid fisherman who loved his Sunday afternoons on his party barge with his wife, Maureen. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Family and friends will miss him.
