Sam Jack Clinton
HOUSTON, TX - Sam Jack Clinton, of Houston, passed away on Monday, the 28th of October 2013, at the age of 78. Sam was born on the 25th of January 1935, in Dallas to Samuel Jackson Clinton and Melba Moreland Clinton.
Sam attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1955 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. While at A&M, he also participated in ROTC for two years.
Sam loved to travel, especially piloting his own plane, and to watch the birds in his garden. He was also a loyal member of St. Martin Episcopal Church and was one of the ushers.
The family would like to thank all of the family and friends at O'Brien Energy for all of their help.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gloria Gail Clinton.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock this afternoon until eight o'clock this evening, Thursday, the 31st of October, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 1st of November, at St. Martin Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road in Houston.
The interment will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road in Houston.
