William Franklin Hearron

SHREVEPORT, LA-Funeral services for William Franklin Hearron, 70, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Jerry Gill, Chaplain Steve Slaughter, and Bro. Bill Crosby. Interment will follow in NW LA Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at the funeral home.

William was born October 26, 1942 in Minden, LA to Holston and Jewell Hearron. He passed away on August 1, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He also proudly served nearly 1700 hours volunteering at Overton-Brooks VA Hospital leading congregational hymns during chapel and special services.

William was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rebecca Alsup. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marilyn Davis Hearron; son, Patrick Hearron and wife, Joy; daughter, Kathryn Hearron and James Crites; grandchildren, Michael Boykin and fiancé, Kayleigh Johnson, Cody Crossland and Chelsey Smith, Jasmine Hearron, Curtis Hearron, Zoe Grace Hearron, Laurilyn Crossland, Caitlyn Hinkie, Christian Rabalais, and Christopher Crites; sister, Sue Nelson; and dear friend, Reda Bey.

Pallbearers will be Cody Crossland, Samuel Broome, Michael Boykin, Christopher Gill, Vince Rascoe, and Jame Bamburg.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Curtis Hearron, Christian Rabalais, Christopher Crites, and the employees of Barteet Plastic Pipe Inc.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Raj Gandhi and his staff, for over 30 years of love and care, and to those who have provided care over the past few months.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Hands 2 Heart Puppet Ministries at Kingston Road Baptist Church, or the Benevolent Fund at Kingston Road Baptist Church.
