BOSSIER CITY, LA - Memorial services for William "Bill" Scotto, 91, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Faith Chapel of First Baptist of Bossier. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Jurkovich, assisted by Bro. Leroy Faith.

Bill was born August 14, 1923 and passed away May 30, 2014 at the veterans home in Anchorage, Alaska. He was a veteran of the U.S Air Force, having served in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a lifelong businessman in Bossier City, LA. He was the founder and owner of Benton Road Auto Repair. He loved the outdoors and was an avid beekeeper. He was known for giving away many jars of honey to his family and friends. Bill was also a member of the Gideons International. He loved playing the harmonica and singing in the church choir. Bill had a strong faith in God and was a wonderful husband, father and Paw-Paw.

He was was preceded in death by his devoted wife of sixty years, Mildred Spears Scotto, two brother John Earl Scotto and Vernon Scotto, two sisters Beulah Scotto and Eula Scotto.

He is survived by one son, Dennis Scotto and wife Evelyn of Bossier City, LA; two daughters, Sharon Shively of Atlanta, Georgia, and Peggy Robinson and husband Bill of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Chris, Jeff and Greg Shively; Jennifer and James Scotto; Benjamin and Elizabeth Robinson.

Bill was well loved and will be greatly missed.
