Youree W. Lee
BOSSIER CITY, LA - Funeral services to celebrate the life of Youree W. Lee, 90, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Pierce, Rev. Calvin Hubbard and Rev. Will Guyton. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Springhill Cemetery, Ringgold, LA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 12 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Youree was born April 10, 1922 in Ringgold, LA and went to Heaven on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at WK Pierremont Health Center. Youree enjoyed fishing, playing his mandolin, gardening and building crafts, but more than anything being with his family. He proudly served his country during WWII as an Army tank commander with the 10th Armored Division and was a Purple Heart Recipient for wounds received during battle. Youree retired from Clanton Lumber Co. in 1990 as sales manager. Youree served his Lord and Savior faithfully as a Deacon since 1960 at Barksdale Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 65 years, Vivian Lee; daughters, Carolyn Grant and Karen Guyton; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, all so beloved to him.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Darrell Guyton, Will Guyton, Jr., Brad Lewter, Robert Grant, Bobby Grant and William "Sparky" Sparks. The Deacons of Barksdale Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Jani, Dr. Sharin Mercer and all the staff at WK Pierremont.
