MISHAWAKA - Beatrice Hamman, 92, of Behney Avenue, Mishawaka, passed away at her home on Behney Avenue, Mishawaka on Monday, August 19th, 2013. She was born in Ledonia, Texas on July 11, 1921 to John and Emer (Maxwell) Moses who preceded her in death. On December 28th, 1945, in Mishawaka, she married Richard C. Hamman. He died July 27th, 2000. She is survived by two children: Richard H.(Dianne) Hamman of Niles, Michigan and Karen (Thomas) Stemes of Mishawaka. Also surviving is a sister, Dorothy Robinson and a sister-in-law, Frances Moses; seven grandchildren: Cassandra Stemes, Jennifer (Bill) Murrmann, Kristen (Toby) Johnson, Kimberly (Brandon) Hale, Shelly Hamman, Thomas Stemes Jr. and his companion, Amanda Bennett, and Angela (Gabe) Lagina; and nine great-grandchildren: Melony Murrmann, Hilary Murrmann, Noah Murrmann, Christian Stemes, Sarah Hale, Dallas Hale, Luka Lagina, Olivia Beatrice Lagina, Karissa Bennett and Baby Girl Johnson. She was a member of the VFW Post #360 Auxiliary and attended several churches in the area over the years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys and her brothers: John, Hubert, Forest, Dewey, Charles and Hershel. Funeral services for Beatrice will be held at Bubb Funeral Chapel on Friday at 1:00 pm where friends may call two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice Foundation in Beatrice's memory. Beatrice loved gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be missed by all.
