Dewey F. Vanlue March 30, 1922 - July 20, 2014 MISHAWAKA - Dewey F. Vanlue, 92, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away 6:00 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, in his residence. Dewey was born on March 30, 1922, in Argos, IN, to Freadus and Vena (Beck) Vanlue. On November 26, 1949, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, Dewey married Patricia J. Kline. Patricia survives along with five children, Richard (Pat Nemeth) Vanlue of Mishawaka, Margo (Bruce) Skeels of Mishawaka, Pamela Bice of Osceola, IN, Charles (Tammy) Vanlue of Elkhart, IN, and Christopher (Tammy) Vanlue of Mishawaka; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; a sister, Treava Weaver of South Bend, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Dewey was preceded in death by two children, Kathleen Grubbs, Stephen J. Vanlue, and a grandson, Charles. Dewey was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, V.F.W. #360 and American Legion #161. Dewey was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy, being Honorably Discharged on January 12, 1945. Dewey loved racing Harley Davidson and Indian Motorcycles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, 225 South Mill Street, Mishawaka, where visitation will also be on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Father Terry Fisher will officiate the services with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, where V.F.W. #360 will conduct military rites.
